How To Help

Volunteer

Would you like to spend your time making the lives of others better? From hosting a fundraiser to providing space for a youth recovery group to meet, Save A Teen has many ways available to volunteer. What are your favorite activities? Call Karl at 503.419.0760 to brainstorm a creative way for you to have fun AND make a difference.

Make a Donation

You can mail a check directly to Save A Teen at 18000 SE Webster Road, Gladstone, OR 97027.

Remember, many employers offer a matching grant program. A $25 donation to Save A Teen could easily be turned into $50 just by asking your human resources department if such a program exists.

Your donation of $25 will offset the monthly cost of one teen attending weekly recovery group support meetings and social events with other youth working to stay clean and sober. Positive social outlets are critical to preventing relapse. A $75 gift will cover the cost of weekly individual and group sessions for a teen with no health insurance, and your generous contribution of $250 will guarantee another safe night in residential treatment. Each dollar spent on drug and alcohol treatment saves seven dollars in future health care and crime costs.

Corporate Giving

In addition to the matching grant program, corporations offer grants directly to non-profit organizations. Inquire with a representative from your human resources department.

Events

Hosting an event can be a fun and rewarding experience. There is no limit to what type of fundraiser you can host. Some examples are afternoon teas, luncheons and dinners, contests of all kinds, and team or individual activities. Many require little work and all have a huge impact for Save A Teen. Any interest that you have can easily be turned into a fundraiser. Getting your friends and family involved makes it even more fun to Save A Teen.

For ideas about how to get started, or how to turn your personal interest into an event, call Karl at 503.419.0760.
